Oi.

Blarg, quasi-stressful day at work.

I started work at noon today. Everything was going fine, except that Caitlin and Emily and Kyle all called me lazy. ME lazy. Me LAZY. Puh. Anways, at around 5 o’clock-ish, I noticed that the cooler that holds all of our meat wasn’t doing 100%, so I called a manager. Woody came, agreed with me that said cooler was not doing said percent, so he called a guy to come a fix it. Whatever was wrong with it.
Anyways, I was busily going about the rest of the night, and around 7:30, while in the middle of skewering all of them chickens, like what I always do, Woody comes in and says that I have to move all of the product that sits on the shelf into the backroom while the guy pulls out the bottom and hoses off something for some reason.
That wouldn’t have been so bad, but I kinda still had more stuff to do, and very little tubs to move the product IN. So, I used the remaining three big yellow tubs and moved all that I could. I needed way, WAY more surface area to rest the stuff in, so I started getting creative. I was borrowing things from bakery, and at one point, I took the tall metal rack we keep stuff on out. The only thing I didn’t realize about this metal rack was that it had a bum wheel. Didn’t realize this until it was completely filled with meat and stuff.
I just came into the door when Mike, a guy who works in the bakery and wasn’t on at the moment but had decided to stop by to say hello (he was dressed in human clothing), stood in my way for a split second. The momentum of the rack was a little too much and I very lightly bumped into him. For some reason this was the time a wheel on the rack decided that it didn’t want to be part of the rack anymore and just fell off. Me and Mike quickly caught the tumbling rack, and only a few tubs of Potato Salad fell off (and broke). The two of us held the rack, keeping it from falling for a minute or two. Luckily, Kyle from produce walked by and we quickly called him to help. It took the three of us nearly 20 minutes to get the wheel back on, and we didn’t even do that. It just didn’t want to go in, so we just moved the rack with only three wheels in the back cooler, and propped it up on a tub of broken potato salad (We’re so smart).

Anyways, with all of the extra stuff I had to do with moving all the food, I had to stay an extra hour after work. Yay for 9.5 hour shifts! And I didn’t even get to put all the stuff back out. So we’re all going to have to be super busy tomorrow. At least I get time and a half for the extra hour.

-_- And they call me lazy.

Not too shabby.

So, this august, everyone in the store is getting a “cost of living” raise of 50 cents. But, also, I am nearing my raise that happens every 500 hours or so. So if I get to 3641 hours before august, I’ll get the both raises to kick in, and be making $11.60 an hour. If not, I’ll be at $11.10. Hopefully I will, though, if all goes according to plan.

Also, cute video.

Monty

Well, I finally heard HOW Monty drowned. Apparently, my Dad and Judy decided to go rafting down the Thomson River and brought Monty along. While they were going, they hit a rock and Judy fell out. They were in some harsh rapids, so Dad jumped in after her to save her. When they both got back to the raft safely (O_o thankfully) they saw Monty had fallen out afterwards. My dad tried to paddle to him, but eventually he went under and never came back. ;_;
My dad feels extremely horrible and blames himself. Its lucky that nothing happened to Judy though.

:S

My blog makes me depressed every time I visit is, so instead, I will had a hilarious picture that I made. Feel free to enjoy it.
